Worcester, Massachusetts – December 7, 1965
On December 7, 1965, a 21-year-old student pilot was making a landing approach at the Worcester Airport when the Piper Cherokee 140 he was piloting crashed in a wooded area short of the runway. The plane suffered an estimated $5,000 in damage, but the student received minor injuries. He walked away from the wreckage and was treated at St. Vincent Hospital.
