Windham, New Hampshire – September 5, 1980
Just after 11:00 a.m. on the morning of September 5, 1980, a single-engine Stinson Voyager with four people aboard was taking off from a private airfield in Windham. Just after becoming airborne the aircraft failed to clear a patch of trees at the end of the field. The impact caused the plane to crash nose-down into the trees tearing off a wing and a door before catching fire. Fortunately all aboard escaped with non-life-threatening injuries. The plane was destroyed by the fire.
