Westbrook, Maine – May 8, 1960
On May 8, 1960, two men were aboard a single-engine airplane over the Westbrook area when they were forced to make an emergency landing in a pasture in thick fog. As the plane came down, it barely missed utility wires stretching across the area by going under them. Neither man was injured.
