Carver, Massachusetts – March 5, 1976

     At 2:30 p.m. on March 5, 1976, a single-engine Cessna 150 with two brothers aboard, both in their 60s, took off from Plymouth Airport in Plymouth, Mass. for a sight-seeing trip.  When the chartered aircraft failed to return at 6:00 p.m. the airplane was reported missing and a search was begun.  The wreckage of the plane was located the following day by state police in the Myles Standish State Forest in Carver. The crash site was about six miles from the airport.  The bodies of the two men were found inside.
