Berlin, Massachusetts – February 3, 1960
On February 3, 1960, two small aircraft took off together from Norwood, Massachusetts, bound for Agawam, Massachusetts. Each plane had two young men aboard. While in route one of the aircraft was seen to crash in a field in Berlin. The second aircraft circled and made a successful landing in the same field. Upon reaching the crash site they discovered both men to be deceased.
