Albion, Maine – October 18, 1961

     On October 18, 1961, two men took off in a small airplane from Norwood, Massachusetts, bound for Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.  While in route the plane’s carburetor iced up and the engine failed while they were at an altitude of 7,000 feet.  The plane crashed in the town of Albion, killing one man and seriously injuring the other.
