Revere, MA. – May 29, 1930

Revere, Massachusetts – May 29, 1930

On May 29, 1930, a biplane with three people aboard took off from Revere for a sight-seeing flight.  Besides the 30-year-old pilot, those aboard included a husband and wife from nearby Lynn, Massachusetts.  This was their first airplane flight.

As the aircraft was rising into the air it suddenly lost power and crash-landed from an altitude of 500 feet.  The couple was rushed to Chelsea Memorial Hospital with multiple, but non-life threatening, injuries.  The pilot was not injured, and despite the accident, took off in another plane a short while later with different passengers.
