Greenville, Maine – August 23, 1947
On August 23, 1947, a seaplane belonging to the Moosehead Lake Flying Service with a pilot and three passengers aboard crashed into Moosehead Lake. Three of the men escaped with minor injuries, but the fourth, a 50-year-old man from Brunswick, Maine, drowned.
