Greenville, Maine – August 5, 1969
On August 5, 1969, a small amphibian plane with three people aboard crashed near the west branch of the Penobscot River as it was circling to land. The crash was in a remote area north of Moosehead Lake. A 40-year old woman was killed, and the other two were injured.
