Woburn, Massachusetts – October 31, 1948
On October 31, 1948, a 19-year-old pilot rented a small single-engine airplane at the Bedford Airport in Bedford, Massachusetts. While passing over Worburn, the plane suddenly lost a wing and crashed into a hillside killing the pilot.
