Winchester, Massachusetts – July 13, 1940
On July 13, 1940, a 20-year-old pilot was flying over the Winchester area when the engine failed. He crashed into Blueberry Mountain just over the Woburn town line. The plane’s right wing, under-carriage, and tail section were damaged but the pilot was not injured.
