West Haven, Connecticut – August 14, 1949
On the afternoon of August 14, 1949, a young husband and wife were flying over the West Haven area when their plane crashed in a wooded area off Jones Hill Road. The husband died on the way to St. Raphael’s Hospital, and his wife passed away a few hours later.
The type of aircraft was not stated in the press.
