Warwick, Rhode Island – September 19, 1947
On September 19, 1947, two men were in a small private airplane that was approaching the Warwick airport when the engine failed and the plane struck a tree and crashed on the Lockwood Farm on Sandy Lane. Both men were seriously injured.
