Southern New England Flying Service
The Southern New England Flying Service Inc. was chartered on October 8, 1931, by Percy B. Berby, Joshua Crane, Jr., Raymond Morrison, and Boyd S. Howland.
The service was based in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, and was authorized to own, operate, lease, and control airports, as well as operate flight schools and carry passengers.
The service owned at least one Aristocrat cabin monoplane, one Beazley-Trainor monoplane, and a Waco biplane.
On August 28, 1935, one of the charter members, Joshua crane, Jr., was killed in a plane crash at Hillsgrove Airport in Warwick, R. I. To learn more, click here.
