South Portland, Maine – August 14, 1926
On August 14, 1926, a man and his wife were flying over the Portland area when they encountered severe weather. As they were attempting to make an emergency landing the plane crashed in the Ligonia section of South Portland. The couple suffered severe injuries and were admitted to a local hospital.
They type of aircraft was not stated in the press.
