Quonset Point Naval Air Station – August 20, 1943
At 11:55 a.m. on August 20, 1943, a British Royal Navy Corsair, (Bu. No. JT-193) was landing on runway 16 when it flipped onto its back. The pilot was not injured, but the plane was damaged.
