Nantucket, Massachusetts – July 28, 1961
On the morning of July 28, 1961, four people took off from Laconia, New Hampshire, in a small airplane bound for Nantucket. Those aboard included a husband and wife in their 20s, a 27-year-old pilot, and a 19-year-old female passenger. After spending the day on Nantucket, they once again boarded the airplane for the return trip to Laconia. Moments after taking off the plane crashed and burned in a wooded area taking the lives of all aboard.
