Fryeburg, Maine – May 27, 1985
On May 27, 1985, a single-engine Cessna took off from the Eastern Slope Regional Airport, a.k.a. Fryeburg Airport. There were four Massachusetts men aboard, all between 20-21 years old. Just after takeoff the aircraft clipped some tree tops and cartwheeled into a wooded area not far from the end of the runway. None of the men survived.
