Dexter, Maine – February 12, 1978
On February 12, 1978, a Cessna 150 with two men aboard took off from the Dexter Airport for a demonstration flight. The aircraft circled the airport twice. On the second time around the engine quit and the pilot attempted to make an emergency landing in an open field. The aircraft then made a sudden nose-dive and crashed.
