Carroll, New Hampshire – November 21, 1948
Cherry Mountain
On November 21,1948, three Massachusetts businessmen took off in a small airplane from Whitefield after the conclusion of a hunting trip. About twenty minutes into the flight they encountered severe weather and crashed in a wooded area on Cherry Mountain in Carroll. All aboard perished in the accident.
All three men were between the ages of 36 to 42 and were connected to the automobile industry.
