Westminster, Vermont – November 27, 1969

On the night of November 27, 1969, a 1947 Piper Aeronica with two young men aboard was attempting to land on a farm in Westminster when a wingtip caught in a tree which flipped the plane over causing it to crash in a field.  The field was commonly used as a landing strip for small planes.  Both men were from Ohio and came to Vermont to visit friends.  Both men received non-life threatening injuries.
